Lakeshire’s Figi Park is named in tribute to former mayor Emil J. Figi who booked the land for use as a public park. The park, located at Squire Meadows and Parkman Drive, was revamped in the spring of 2005, and a children’s Easter Egg hunt is held in the park every spring for residents’ children.

Most city functions are held at the Lakeshire Community Center, located at 10000 Puttington Drive. The building also houses administrative offices for the city and the Lakeshire Police Department.

Library Lounge Lizards is a bookstore that specializes in quality first editions/first printings, vintage cookbooks and rare or out or print collector’s editions.
