The village of Norwood Court is located in northern St. Louis County and covers a total area of 0.13 square miles. Norwood Court lies north and south of Interstate 70, between Lucas & Hunt Roads and Bermuda Drive. Incorporated in 1949, the village’s population, as of the 2010 census, was record at 959 residents.
Portions of Norwood Court contain the popular Jennings’ country club, the Norwood Hills Country Club, which has a tradition and history dating back to the 1920s. The club was originally founded under the name of the North Hills Country Club.
The club has hosted many events including the National Left-Handed Golfer’s Championship in 1936 and 1940, the PGA Championship in 1948 won by Ben Hogan, the LPGA Tour’s St. Louis Women’s Invitational from 1965 to 1969, the PGA Tour’s Greater St. Louis Golf Classic in 1972 and 1973, and the U.S. Senior Amateur in 2001.
Residents of Norwood Court are served by the Normandy School District.
