One of St. Louis REALTORS®’ major objectives in 2020, under President Michele Sloan’s leadership, was to evaluate the need for renovation of the upper level of your Association building. It had been many years since the space was updated, and the initiative had been in the works for close to a year. The renovation began on March 15, 2021, with the goal of providing significant improvements to the building’s top floor to modernize and enhance the space used by our staff and membership.   

In preparation for the St. Louis REALTORS® building renovation, the majority of 2020 was spent developing a plan for consideration with our design firm, eddy Design, a woman-owned business enterprise. Our board of directors gave the go-ahead in December 2020, and execution began in early 2021 under President Matt Muren’s leadership. St. Louis REALTORS® is extremely pleased to have engaged the services of Kadean Construction as the general contractor, selected through a competitive bidding process.

The renovation concluded in early July 2021 and has dramatically improved our space, which now includes:  

• A new “Members” wing that consists of a board room, Past Presidents Conference room, and an open concept membership lounge
• Greater accessibility between the upper and lower levels with the addition of a vertical lift
• Greater separation between public areas and work areas resulting in a more secure environment for staff
• Consolidation of all Association departments into the same physical space, allowing for a more collaborative and functional work environment
