Last week, St. Louis REALTORS® joined Citizens for Modern Transit, AARP in St. Louis, the City of St. Louis and Metro Transit, Mayor Tishaura Jones, and city residents to celebrate the latest Transit Stop Transformation at the entrance to the Soulard neighborhood at 13th and Gravois.
Among those in attendance was 2025 President Stacey Sanders, who spoke to the crowd about how projects like this contribute to stronger and more connected communities.
At St. Louis REALTORS®, we know that vibrant, accessible, and safe public spaces are essential to thriving communities. This Transit Stop Transformation goes above beautifying a bus stop. It creates a sense of belonging and connectivity for residents and visitors—helping to fundamentally enhance the quality of life, increase property values, and build a stronger sense of community.
When public transit stops are welcoming, safe, and thoughtfully designed, we can bridge the gap between neighborhoods and opportunities, making our communities more accessible and equitable and helping to attract new residents and businesses.
When public, private, and nonprofit partners come together with a shared vision, people can feel pride in their community. Projects like this one are part of a broader commitment to equitable development around transit—ensuring that people of all ages and abilities have safe, engaging, and accessible public spaces. Supporting this transformation is just one of the many ways REALTORS® are working to enhance our communities every day.
