On August 8, 2022, President Joe Biden granted Governor Mike Parson’s request for a major disaster declaration. This allows residents in the City of St. Louis, St. Louis County, and St. Charles County whose employment was lost or interrupted due to the flooding that occurred at the end of July 2022 to apply for up to 28 weeks of Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) should they meet the criteria.

In the Fall of 2021, a Governance Task Force was formed to review the election process, the process of filling vacancies on the Board of Directors, and making recommendations to the Board of Directors. The Task Force was chaired by Bob Bax and included a mix of current and past directors and leadership. At its May meeting, the Board of Directors approved several Task Force recommendations.
